Kathmandu, Nepal – The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced that there will be a planned electricity outage in several areas of Kathmandu today. The disruption is due to necessary maintenance work on the underground transmission lines.
The outage will affect areas under the Ratnapark distribution center. The NEA has stated that the power supply will be interrupted from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

The NEA has mentioned that the maintenance work will involve the removal of old poles and the servicing of distribution transformers.
The authority is working towards increasing the use of underground transmission lines within the Kathmandu Valley to improve the reliability and efficiency of the power supply.
