Biratchowk, Nepal: A tragic incident occurred in Bara district as a 63-year-old man was fatally attacked by an elephant. The victim, identified as Hasta Bahadur Thokar, was a resident of Kolhabi Municipality 2.
According to Prakash Sapkota, the police spokesperson of the District Police Office, Thokar lost his life during an encounter with a wild animal while collecting grass in the morning. After he failed to return home by the usual time, his family members and villagers organized a search party in the nearby forest. Unfortunately, they discovered Thokar’s lifeless body.
The deceased’s body has been transferred to the Provincial Hospital Kalaiya for a post-mortem examination. This incident follows the recent discovery of a dead elephant in the same area.
