A collision between a car (Province 01 030 cha 0995) and a scooter (Ba 73 Pa 2836) resulted in one fatality in the Srijana Nagar area of Suryabinayak Municipality-5, Bhaktapur. The accident occurred on Monday afternoon as the car was traveling towards Kathmandu.
The scooter rider, 23-year-old Sujan Tamang of Ramechhap Likhu Tamakoshi, tragically died from injuries sustained in the accident while receiving treatment. The pillion rider, 23-year-old Raj Tamang, also of Ramechhap Likhu Tamakoshi, was injured and is currently being treated at Madhyapur Thimi Hospital.
The car’s driver, 31-year-old Ashish Shrestha from Dharan, has been taken into police custody.
