A fire broke out today at the Jyoti Ply Carpet Factory in Duwakot, Nepal, injuring two people. The Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and residents worked together with fire engines from multiple districts to extinguish the blaze after five hours.
Buddhanarayan Shrestha, 23, and Manu Urwa, 29, were injured in the fire. Urwa sustained serious injuries and was transferred to Kirtipur Hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but estimated damages are approximately Rs 1 crore 80 lakhs.
