Dharmapal Barsingh Thapa, former chief of the Army Staff of Nepal, passed away on Thursday morning (May 16th, 2024).
He was admitted to the Nepal Army Hospital in Chhauni two days prior due to health complications and was undergoing treatment at the time of his death.
Thapa served as the chief of Army Staff from 1995 to 1999. He was the first Chief of Army Staff to visit China.
