Former Minister Ram Chandra Rai Murdered in Sarlahi

Sarlahi: A former state minister, 80-year-old Ram Chandra Rai, was brutally murdered at his residence in Chandranagar Rural Municipality, Ward No. 1, Sarlahi district last night.

According to Sarlahi Police Spokesperson DSP Dipak Shrestha, Rai was killed by an unidentified group using sharp weapons. Rai had served as the Minister of State for Land Management 30 years ago, representing the RPP.

Upon receiving the news of the murder, a police team was immediately dispatched to the crime scene to initiate an investigation.
