Bus-Truck Collision on Mugling Road

A tragic road accident occurred early this morning on the Narayangadh-Mugling road section, claiming the lives of four individuals and injuring six others.

The fatal collision involved a bus (plate number 03-001 KHA 2812) traveling from Mugling to Narayangadh and an electric Hayes vehicle (plate number 06-001 JA 0298) moving in the opposite direction. The accident took place near Satrakilo around 3 AM.

The deceased, all passengers of the Hayes bus, include a 40-42-year-old man identified as Raj Bahadur Gurung, a resident of Arughat Rural Municipality 1 Manbu, Gorkha. The identities of the other victims are yet to be confirmed.

The bus driver, 40-year-old Surya Bikram Bista of Hetauda sub-metropolitan city, Makwanpur, has been apprehended by the police. The bus’s co-driver, 30-year-old Bhoj Bikram Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City 32, sustained minor injuries.

Four of the injured are currently undergoing treatment at New Medical College in Bharatpur, while two others have been discharged after receiving medical attention.
