Nepal Police had been actively pursuing Raut, who had been on the run for some time and had requested Interpol’s assistance in locating and apprehending him. The successful collaboration between Nepali and Kuwaiti law enforcement agencies led to Raut’s arrest and subsequent extradition to Nepal.
