Gandaki Provincial Assembly member Bimala Gauchan has passed away at the age of 63. Former President of Nepali Congress Myagdi and Constituent Assembly member Resham Bahadur Baniya informed Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that she died on Wednesday night at Grande Hospital in Kathmandu while undergoing treatment for dengue.
She was elected to the Provincial Assembly through the proportional representation system from the Nepali Congress.
Her body is being kept at the hospital, and the funeral will take place after her son arrives from the United States, according to family sources.
