Phulbari, Chitwan – In a devastating incident on Monday, a 50-year-old man lost his life due to a cooking gas leak from a cylinder in Phulbari, western Chitwan. The deceased has been identified as Manish Thapa, a resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15, Deurichok, Chitwan.
According to information provided by DSP Shreeram Bhandari of the District Police Office, Chitwan, the unfortunate incident occurred when Thapa was cooking in his room, and a gas leak transpired from the cylinder. The incident took place within the premises of the local Abinash Fertilizer Company.
Despite immediate response efforts, Thapa succumbed to the effects of the gas leakage. The local authorities were alerted to the situation, and emergency services were dispatched to the scene. However, the extent of the gas leak proved fatal.
DSP Shreeram Bhandari stated that further investigation into the incident is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the gas leak and the events leading to Thapa’s tragic demise.
