A fire that erupted in the Ghurbise market, located on the border of the Ilam and Panchthar districts, was brought under control on Sunday, March 17th, around 7 pm. Two houses were destroyed in the blaze.
The fire completely consumed the joint house of Kabindra Lawati and Gopendra Rijal, and the neighboring house of Ambika Prasad Sapkota. Due to the age and tin-roofed construction of the houses, police believe significant valuables may not have been lost.
The fire was extinguished through the combined efforts of residents and police.
