Mahottari, Nepal – A 14-year-old girl was tragically killed after being electrocuted by an electric fence in Mahottari district. Two other girls were injured while attempting to rescue her.
According to local police, Karina Mahato was electrocuted by a bare wire in a fence erected by Binod Mahato of Gaushala Municipality 3 Pachantol. The fence was intended to protect crops from wild animals.
Radhakumari Mahato, 18, and Bhivakumari Mahato, 14, were injured while trying to help Karina. They are currently receiving treatment at a local health facility.
The incident occurred around 7:30 AM when the girls were going to work in the fields. The district police office in Mahottari is investigating the matter further.
