A devastating landslide in Gulmi, Nepal, has claimed the lives of five members of the same family. Their home in Malika Rural Municipality-6 Kadel Pata was completely destroyed by the early morning disaster.
District Police Office Gulmi Inspector Suryabhan Chaudhary confirmed the deaths. Bhesh Bahadur Kami, 55, his wife Suntali Kami, 48, their daughter-in-law Sita BK, 26, and granddaughters Sapana BK, 8, and Bipana BK, just 8 months old, all perished in the landslide.
According to reports, the landslide struck around 7:00 am, completely wiping out Bhesh Bahadur’s two-story mud house. This heartbreaking incident highlights the dangers of landslides, particularly during Nepal’s monsoon season.
