Hamas has rejected the proposal for talks that took place in Doha. Israel set new conditions for a ceasefire and the release of hostages from Hamas in the Gaza war.

Israel had proposed to keep troops inside Gaza and along the border with Egypt. At the same time, Israel had demanded a complete ceasefire as well as the return of prisoners without any restrictions.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, speaking separately with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin on Friday, added an important note to the talks for the release of the Gaza hostages held since October 7.

Last October 7, Hamas fighters captured 251 people. Of these, 111 people are still held captive in Gaza and the army has killed 39 people.

At least 40,500 people are reported to have died in the Israeli military bombing. It has not been revealed how many soldiers and civilians were killed.
