Humla district made significant progress in protecting its children against measles and rubella during a March 8th – 20th vaccination campaign. A total of 5,108 children received the vaccine, representing an impressive 82% coverage rate.
“This is a positive step towards safeguarding the health of our children,” stated Prem Singh, Head of the Health Service Office Humla.
However, challenges remain in reaching the most remote areas. Children in Limi and Sarkegad (Namkha Rural Municipality) have been unable to access the measles-rubella vaccine and other essential immunizations.
