Kailali district has been grappling with severe flooding, forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes. According to the District Administration Office, 636 people from 162 houses have been relocated to safer areas due to rising water levels in various rivers.
Incessant rainfall has led to the overflow of Pathariya, Kataini, Kanda, and other rivers in the district, inundating several villages. Janaki Rural Municipality, Kailari Rural Municipality, Joshipur Rural Municipality, Bhajani Municipality, and other areas have been significantly affected.
The administration has been working tirelessly to assist displaced individuals, providing shelter and necessities.
