Arms Factory Busted in Bihar

A joint operation by Bihar and West Bengal police has led to the dismantling of a clandestine arms manufacturing unit in Saran district. The raid, conducted on Tuesday, resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of a massive cache of weapons and manufacturing equipment.

The Special Task Force (STF) from both states, in collaboration with local police, targeted a house in Rahimpur village, where the illegal factory was operating under the guise of a residential property. The mastermind behind the operation, Akhilesh Singh, along with four alleged workers from Munger, were apprehended at the scene.

Authorities confiscated a staggering arsenal, including 75 partially constructed firearms, numerous barrels, and a variety of tools essential for weapon production. The factory was equipped with advanced machinery, such as lathe and milling machines, indicating a sophisticated operation.

The discovery of this illegal arms factory underscores the alarming prevalence of illicit weapons manufacturing in the region. Police are investigating the network’s connections and potential links to criminal activities.
