Kailali police arrested Ayush Gupta (23) of Lakhimpur Kheri, India, on Sunday. Gupta was found in possession of smuggled mobile phones and spare parts with an estimated value exceeding five lakh rupees.
Police Assistant Inspector Gajendra Bahadur Chand led the team that made the arrest. District Police Office spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kavindra Singh Bohora, confirmed the arrest.
Seized items include:
- 58 Samsung mobile phones
- 52 Nokia mobile phones
- 26 packets of phone glasses
- Chargers
- 379 displays
- 280 SIM card trays
- Other miscellaneous electronics
Gupta is under investigation by the district police office. The Kailali Customs Office will handle further legal action regarding the seized goods.
