Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri arrived in Kathmandu today for a two-day official visit. He was warmly welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport by Nepal’s Foreign Secretary, Sewa Lamsal, who extended the invitation for his visit.
This marks the first high-level visit from India following the formation of Nepal’s Congress-UML coalition government. Previously, after he was appointed Foreign Secretary, Misri made his first international trip to Bhutan.
During his stay in Nepal, Misri will engage in discussions on various topics aimed at strengthening Nepal-India relations and advancing bilateral agreements, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is scheduled to return to India on August 12, 2024.
