Tanahun, Nepal – The bodies of the 27 Indian tourists who perished in a bus accident near Aina Pahara in Tanahun district will be transferred to Pokhara for a post-mortem. The decision was made at the request of the Indian Embassy, which has a consular office in the city.
The tragic incident occurred when a bus carrying 43 Indian tourists plunged into the Marsyangdi River. While 16 people were airlifted to Kathmandu for medical treatment, the remaining 27 lost their lives.
The post-mortems will be conducted at the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences. Once completed, the bodies will be handed over to the families of the victims.
