Ireland Wolves unleashed a ruthless performance against Nepal ‘A’, clinching the ODI series match with a crushing 114-run victory. The Wolves dominance was evident from the outset, posting a challenging total before their bowlers decimated the Nepalese batting order.
Opting to bat first, Ireland Wolves rode a half-century from Gavin Hoey (50) and valuable contributions by Neil Rock (45) and Liam McCarthy (35) to reach 174 before being all out in 38.4 overs. Nepal’s A’s bowlers put in a spirited effort, with Rijan Dhakal and Shahab Alam claiming three wickets apiece.
However, any hopes of a Nepalese comeback were quickly extinguished as Ireland Wolves’ bowlers ran riot. Matthew James Humphreys was the star of the show, claiming a devastating six-wicket haul. F. Hand and T. Mayes provided excellent support, picking up two wickets each as Nepal ‘A’ were bundled out for a mere 60 runs in 16.5 overs.
