Baitadi, Nepal – A jeep accident on Thursday night in Dashrathchand Municipality, Baitadi, resulted in injuries to six people. The incident occurred when a jeep, with registration number Se 1 Ja 320, traveling from Dashrathchand Municipality-3 Durgabhawani to Durgabhawani, veered off the road and crashed.
According to the District Police Office Baitadi, eight passengers were on board the jeep. Six people, including the driver, sustained injuries. Five of the injured are receiving treatment at the district hospital, while one person, Dilip Nath of Dashrathchand Municipality-3 Bharkurali, was referred to Dhangadhi for further medical attention.
The jeep fell approximately 5-10 meters down a slope and became entangled in a salla tree, preventing a more severe accident. Police Inspector Janak Dhungana noted that the timely intervention of the tree likely mitigated the severity of the injuries.
