Jeep Accident in Myagdi Kills Driver, Injures Passengers

A tragic accident last night claimed the life of a driver and injured passengers traveling in a Bolero jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7106) in Myagdi district.

The jeep, which was carrying five people including the driver, was traveling from the tourist destination of Todke towards Wakhet in Beni Municipality-10 when it crashed in Bhaltoke Pakho, Raghuganga Rural Municipality-5 Jhiko.

According to Police Inspector Rajan Rayamajhi, the driver, 53-year-old Chabilal Pun, died at the scene. Some of the injured passengers are reported to be in stable condition.

The details of the accident remain unclear. Police believe poor nighttime visibility and rough road conditions may have been contributing factors.

Rescue efforts were initiated immediately after the accident. Locals were deployed along with a team led by Beni Municipality Mayor Surat KC to assist the injured and recover the deceased.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
