A couple from Khajura Rural Municipality-6 Digaon in Banke district were discovered critically injured with their throats slashed in their home on Monday. Both Mahendra Rawat (25/26) and Rita Singh Thakuri (23) are currently receiving treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College.
Local police officers rescued the couple and initially rushed them to Bheri Hospital. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as both victims are unconscious.
“We are investigating how this incident occurred within a closed room. Due to the couple’s serious condition, details remain unknown,” stated DSP Narayan Dangi of Banke.
