Khusika Basnet, a student at Siddhartha Boarding School in Damak, Jhapa, has emerged as the district’s topper in the recently released Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results. Basnet secured a perfect GPA of 4, a remarkable feat.
Education officials in Jhapa confirmed that Basnet is the sole student from the district to achieve this outstanding result. According to the school administration, Basnet has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic performance throughout her school years.
Jhapa saw a total of 15,562 students appear for the SEE exams this year. While 746 students secured a GPA between 3.60 and 4, Basnet stands out for her perfect score. Here’s a breakdown of the district’s SEE results:

- GPA 3.20 to 3.60: 2,454 students
- GPA 2.80 to 3.20: 2,972 students
