The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) delivered a crushing 106-run victory over the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match. KKR’s dominant performance propels them to the top of the standings with 6 points, while DC remains near the bottom with only 2 points.
Chasing a mammoth target of 273, DC crumbled under KKR’s bowling attack, all out for 166 runs in 17.2 overs. Rishabh Pant (55) and Tristan Stubbs (54) offered some resistance, but KKR’s Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets each to seal the win.
Earlier, KKR posted the second-highest total in IPL history, scoring 272 for 7 after winning the toss and electing to bat. Despite falling short of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record of 277, KKR’s total was more than enough. Sunil Narine’s explosive 85 off 39 balls and Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 54 powered the KKR innings.
