Sambhav Sirohiya, Managing Director of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), has accused Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane of attempting to suppress news about his involvement in a cooperative fraud scandal.
In a video message released on Friday morning, Sirohiya stated that the Home Minister asked KMG not to publish information regarding the scam, claiming it was under investigation.
Sirohiya further alleged that the recent arrest of Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of KMG and Sambhav’s father, was an act of retaliation by Home Minister Lamichhane. He claimed that the charges were fabricated after KMG refused to comply with the minister’s request.
