Koshi Province, Nepal – Chief Minister Kedar Karki has significantly expanded his cabinet in Koshi Province, four months after his initial appointment. On Friday, he added four new ministers and two state ministers, bringing the total cabinet size to ten members.
The Nepali Congress gained two ministerial positions: Pradeep Kumar Sunuwar was appointed Minister of Health and Ram Kumar Khatri as Minister of Industry, Agriculture, and Cooperative Development.
The CPN-Maoist Center also received two ministerial appointments: Rajendra Karki as Minister of Social Development and Narayan Magar as Minister of Drinking Water, Irrigation, and Energy.
Additionally, two state minister positions were filled by the CPN-Maoist Center: Indira Thapa as State Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, and Sunita Kumari Gurung as State Minister for Internal Affairs and Law.
