Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli assumed the executive position of the country on Monday for the third time.
During a ceremony at the President’s residence, Oli took the oath of office and secrecy. Following this, he paid tribute to the martyrs before arriving at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, where he was welcomed by the employees.
Before assuming office, Oli visited the Martyr’s Memorial at Lainchour and placed wreaths on the statues of the martyrs. Prior to this, he had visited the party central office in Chyasal.
Oli’s appointment follows the resignation of outgoing Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ who did not receive a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives and was relieved of his post on July 12, 2024. Oli was then appointed Prime Minister with the support of the Congress.
