Krishna Paudel, Agricultural Scientist Succumbs to Dengue

Krishna Paudel, a prominent agricultural scientist at the Pakhribas Agricultural Research Center, tragically passed away on Tuesday evening due to dengue fever. He was undergoing treatment at Budhi Ganga Birat Medical College in Morang.

Paudel, initially admitted to Dhankuta District Hospital for persistent fever, was later referred to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. His condition deteriorated, necessitating his transfer to Birat Medical College, where he ultimately succumbed to the disease.

A respected figure in the field of agriculture, Paudel held the positions of Scientific Officer and Information Officer at the research center. Renowned for his expertise in fruit cultivation, he was a permanent resident of Pakhribas Municipality-3, Chetana Marga. He is survived by his wife, Sharmila Sapkota, and two children.

His body was kept at the Pakhribas Agricultural Research Center for public homage. The cremation ceremony is scheduled for today at the Tamor River in Mulghat, as confirmed by his sister-in-law, Khushbu Sapkota.
