The Araniko Highway, a vital transportation route in Kavrepalanchok district, Nepal, has been partially reopened after a landslide obstructed traffic. The road, located in Panchkhal Municipality-8, was closed due to a dry landslide that fell from the hillside.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Meen Bahadur Ghale, the road was reopened in one direction at 9 AM today. The landslide, which occurred Saturday night, blocked the highway in both directions. To address the situation, local authorities and the road department coordinated efforts to clear the debris and allow one-way traffic flow.
The road closure caused significant traffic congestion, with hundreds of vehicles stranded. However, with the reopening, the affected vehicles were able to resume their journeys.
