A heartbreaking landslide struck Kandebas bus stop in Galkot municipality-8, Baglung, on Friday night (June 28th). The disaster tragically buried an elderly couple, 55-year-old Prem BK and his 50-year-old wife Basanti, according to Superintendent of Police Rishiram Kandel.
A police team has been dispatched to the scene to assess the situation and begin search and rescue efforts.
The relentless rainfall since Friday has caused widespread disruption in the region. The Baglung section of Madhyapahari Lokmarg, Kaligandaki corridor, and Baglung-Kushmishera road are all currently blocked by landslides. Commuters are advised to find alternative routes until these critical roadways can be cleared.
