A landslide in Pokhara-27 Sahalapata early Wednesday morning resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man. Bhim Bahadur Thapa was asleep when a landslide, originating from a height of approximately 20 meters, buried his home. The house, constructed of blocks and topped with a zinc roof, was destroyed in the incident.
Kaski Police Spokesperson Basanta Kumar Sharma reported that the police, dispatched from the Sisuwa area police office, were able to rescue Thapa’s mother, 50-year-old Kamala Thapa, safely from the debris.
