The Khurkot-Ghurmi section of the Mid-Hill Highway in Nepal is closed due to a landslide that occurred earlier today. The landslide struck near Haibar Bensi, Akkarebhir, Golanjor-1 Kudule, and Fikkal Rural Municipality-2 Sumnam Bensi in Golanjor Rural Municipality-6.
Dozens of vehicles and passengers are stranded on the road eastward from Khurkot, according to Chief Superintendent of Police Govindaraj Kafle of the District Police Office.
Reports also indicate that a tailor in Golanjor-1 Kudule was buried by the landslide. Local authorities and security personnel are on the scene and working to clear the roadblock.
