The STREET FIGHTER 6 DLC which will add the character Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury to the game’s roster will be launched on February 5th, as announced today by CAPCOM.

As the second guest character in Street Fighter history, players will have many reasons to be excited about Mai’s unique moveset, inspired by a variety of SNK classics with modern touches from STREET FIGHTER 6 mechanics. Players will be able to let loose with Mai in all of them and three game modes, including Fighting Ground and Battle Hub, as well as being able to admire her as the new Master in the World Tour.

Mai is available with two outfits. Outfit 1 is reminiscent of his classic style in SNK’s landmark Fatal Fury series, while Outfit 2 will focus on his new look in the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Outfit 2 can be acquired through Fighter Coins or by strengthening your bond with her in the World Tour.

As seen in the trailer, Mai’s moveset uses a variety of familiar and new techniques during matches to control her opponents with flaming projectiles, divekicks and more, including:

Kachousen — Mai throws her fan like a fireball. When used normally, the fan loses ground to other projectiles and the opponent’s shots can knock it down. But when you hold down the input, it can no longer be countered by hits. Additionally, if the fan hits an opponent, it rises up and falls on them for another blow. Ryuuenbu — Spins forward in a burst of fire to trigger combos or to control the distance in front of her. Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi — Performs a cartwheel and flies towards opponents to strike them with an elbow. The OD version launches Mai into the air to follow up the attack or to surprise opponents below. Hishou Ryuuenjin — Mai’s Dragon Fist, which functions as an effective anti-air strike as she delivers an upward flying kick engulfed in flames. Kagerou no Mai — Mai’s level 1 Super Art, which sets the immediate vicinity on fire, useful as an anti-air move or to finish the combo. The move also gives Mai five supplies of flame, which gives all special moves and level 1 and 2 Super Arts special properties. Chou Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi — Mai’s level 2 Super Art charging forward in a blaze of glory to evade projectiles. Shiranui Ryuu – Enbu Ada Zakura — Mai’s level 3 Super Art, she flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee in a series of elegant fan strikes.

Mai will be ready to spice up SF6 next month for players who own or purchase the Year 2 Character Pass or Year 2 Ultimate Pass, and can also be purchased with Fighter Coins. The evil M. Bison and the easygoing Terry (both available immediately) will be joined by Mai (February 2025) and Elena (Spring 2025) to complete Year 2 of STREET FIGHTER 6.

The title is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series Let’s see the latest trailer below.
