A man has died after being struck by lightning in Palpa district on Sunday.
The victim, identified as 56-year-old Bimal Prasad Panta, was a resident of Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality Ward 3, Dadagaon, according to Sugandha Shrestha, Information Officer for the District Police Office (DPO) Palpa.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shrestha reported that Panta was at home when lightning struck around 6:30 pm. Though rushed to Lumbini Medical College for treatment, doctors sadly pronounced him dead upon examination.
