Tragedy struck Dang, Nepal on Friday evening as lightning claimed the life of a resident. Bhumisara Budha Magar, a 39-year-old resident of Rajpur Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, Materia, was struck by lightning while working in his field.
According to Police Inspector Kalika Karki of the Area Police Office Gadhwa, Bhumisara was rushed to Lamahi Hospital for treatment following the incident. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of lightning strikes, especially during Nepal’s monsoon season.
