Dailekh – Sharmila Kandel, a 12-year-old girl from Bhairabi Rural Municipality 6, Torimul, tragically died during a storm with lightning and hail on Saturday afternoon. After being struck by lightning, she was initially taken to Dullu Hospital. However, due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to Surkhet Provincial Hospital. Sadly, she passed away during the transport, confirmed by District Police Office Dailekh Information Officer, and Police Inspector Deepak Magarathi.
The storm also resulted in the death of a goat and caused significant damage to local crops, particularly wheat, barley, and vegetables.
