The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party has officially announced its intention to cast a dissenting vote against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the impending confidence vote scheduled for Wednesday. This decision was reached during a recent parliamentary party meeting, where the party unequivocally committed to assuming the role of the opposition in the parliament.
In addition to opposing the Prime Minister, the party has also conveyed its endorsement for Yubaraj Sharma, the nominated candidate of the Nepali Congress, in the upcoming election for the National Assembly chairman.
Yubaraj Sharma has been put forth by the Nepali Congress as its candidate for the esteemed position of National Assembly Chair. With a representation of one lawmaker in the National Assembly and four in the House of Representatives (HoR), the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party’s decision holds substantial significance and is poised to exert influence in the impending parliamentary proceedings.
