Lumbini Launches Online Ticketing

To improve convenience for tourists visiting Lumbini, Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang launched a new online ticketing system on Saturday. The system aims to eliminate long lines and streamline the ticketing process for visitors.

Minister Tamang expressed optimism about the system, believing it will increase transparency and create a more welcoming experience for domestic and foreign tourists. He emphasized the importance of providing a comfortable environment for those visiting the sacred site.

Lumbini Development Fund Vice President Lyarkal Lama highlighted the goal of making visits more convenient, underscoring Lumbini’s international significance. Additionally, Lama stressed the importance of operationalizing the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa to further ease access.

Lumbini Development Fund Treasurer Siddhacharan Bhattarai noted that the online ticketing system aligns with the fund’s past year’s policies and programs to improve the visitor experience.

Pricing:

  • General Tourists: 10 rupees per person
  • Native Students (excluding Kapilvastu, Rupandehi district): 20 rupees per person
  • Indians: 40 rupees per person
  • Tourists from SAARC countries: 300 rupees per person
  • Tourists from other countries: 600 rupees per person
