The husband of a missing mother Mamta Kafle Bhatt has been arrested and charged in connection with her disappearance, which has sparked widespread concern and community support.
Naresh Bhatt, 37, was taken into custody on Thursday morning, hours after being identified as a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, 28-year-old Mamta Kafle Bhatt. Bhatt faces felony charges related to the concealment of a dead body, according to authorities.
Mamta Kafle Bhatt, an immigrant from Nepal, was last seen on July 31st. The couple has a 1-year-old daughter who is currently in the care of the Department of Social Services.
Police are continuing their investigation into Kafle Bhatt’s disappearance and have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges. The arrest comes after authorities executed a search warrant at the family’s home on Wednesday evening.

The arrest of Naresh Bhatt comes after weeks of investigation and numerous leads. Police have executed over 10 search warrants and conducted hundreds of interviews in connection with the case.
