Makwanpur: A 26-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in Kailash Rural Municipality of Makwanpur district.
Mangal Bahadur Pakhrin of Kafaldanda, Kalikhola was apprehended by the district police following a court order. He will be held in custody for 10 days for further investigation.
According to police, Pakhrin confessed to killing his 20-year-old wife, Laxmi Pakhrin, on the evening of August 11, 2024. He reportedly used an ax to kill her during a domestic dispute inside their home before burying her body in the forest.
Makwanpur Police Spokesperson Om Pandit confirmed the details of the gruesome incident.
