A 56-year-old man was apprehended at the Durga Mela in Rautahat district, Nepal, after being found in possession of a firearm. The arrested individual, identified as Bhola Rai Yadav, is a resident of Dewahi Gonahi Municipality 6, Karkach.
Yadav was taken into custody by a patrol team from the local police office. Upon searching him, officers discovered an automatic pistol bearing the inscription “Made in USA.” The firearm was loaded with four rounds of ammunition.
According to the district police spokesperson, Dipak Kumar Rai, the seized pistol was a nine-millimeter model. In addition to the pistol, authorities also recovered one magazine and two rounds of short gun ammunition.
The Rautahat District Police Office is currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
