A tragic incident occurred in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-5 Kumaripati on June 22nd, claiming the life of a 24-year-old man.
Tej Narayan Chaudhary, originally from Khadak Municipality-3, Saptari, and residing in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, was fatally stung by a yellow wasp. The incident happened around 5:30 PM while Chaudhary was painting at the United Academy in Kumaripati.
Following the wasp sting, Chaudhary’s brother, Hari Narayan, rushed him to Model Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment. However, Nareshraj Subedi, SP and Spokesperson for the Lalitpur District Police Complex confirmed that Chaudhary succumbed to the effects of the sting on Tuesday morning.
The authorities have sent Chaudhary’s body to the University Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination. This incident highlights the potential dangers of wasp stings, especially for those with severe allergies.
