Police have discovered the body of a 37-year-old man inside a parked bus at the new bus park in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.
The deceased has been identified as Prallad Adhikari, a resident of Sunsari Itahari sub-metropolitan city-13, according to SP Nawaraj Adhikari of the District Police Complex, Kathmandu. The bus, bearing registration number Ba 2 Kha 2344, had been parked near gate number 3 for the past two months.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man died four to five days ago. His body has been sent to the University Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and the police are continuing their investigation.
It has been revealed that the deceased was employed in the transport sector and worked in the vicinity of the bus park.
The exact cause of death is yet to be determined.
