A man has lost his life after being struck by lightning in Makawanpur district. The incident occurred this morning in Thumki, Raksirang Rural Municipality-2.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Bhandari, the victim was identified as 45-year-old Bir Bahadur Praja. Bhandari reported that Praja was struck by lightning while inside his home.
Sadly, despite being rushed to Hetaunda Hospital, Praja succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel. His body currently remains at the hospital.
Law enforcement officials are on the scene investigating the incident further. A team led by Police Assistant Inspector Gaurab Bista from Chainpur arrived at the Raksirang police station to gather details.
