Pokhara Man Rescued from Phewa Lake After Boating Accident

A 20-year-old man, Sobhit Pariyar, was safely rescued from Pokhara’s Phewa Lake on Sunday evening after a sudden storm caused a boating accident. Pariyar, a resident of both Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality-3 in Syangja and Pokhara Metropolitan City-6 Lakeside, had been enjoying a boat ride when the unexpected weather struck.

The Armed Police Force team stationed at the Phewa Lake rescue tower responded swiftly to the incident, successfully rescuing Pariyar from the water. Their prompt action highlights the importance of having dedicated rescue personnel at popular tourist destinations like Phewa Lake.

The Armed Police Force’s commitment to safety was further demonstrated when the team also aided 25 domestic and foreign tourists who became stranded at the Talbarahi temple during the storm.
