A man has gone missing after being swept away by the Daram Khola River in Galkot Municipality, Ward No. 10, Baglung.
The victim, identified as 42-year-old Ramesh Pariyar, was swept away by the swollen river while fishing at around 7:30 AM on Friday. The river’s water level had risen significantly due to overnight rainfall.
A search and rescue team, led by Police Deputy Inspector Torandhwaj Paudel, has been deployed to locate the missing person. Residents are also assisting in the search efforts.
The incident highlights the dangers of river activities during the monsoon season.
