A large fire has consumed salla (wood) stored inside the Bahubali Herbal Pvt. Ltd. compound in Piprahawa, Janaki rural municipality-6, Kailali. The fire began at 7:15 am on Thursday and is still uncontrolled. Authorities believe an electrical short circuit caused the blaze.

The fire is currently concentrated on the salla (wood) storage area and has not spread to the main industry buildings. Firefighters are working tirelessly to prevent the flames from reaching warehouses and factories, which could cause extensive damage.

Eleven fire engines from surrounding areas, including Banke, Bardiya, and Rupandehi in India, have been deployed. Teams from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police are assisting in the firefighting efforts, alongside residents.

Chief District Officer Shravan Kumar Pokharel emphasizes the urgency of the situation and the efforts to prevent the fire from spreading. Workers are currently emptying nearby warehouses as a precaution.
