The pictures featured Fox partying with her fiance Machine Gun Kelly, Taylor Swift, and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, leading some to suggest that she had undergone plastic surgery due to her more defined facial features.
Fox took to Instagram to set the record straight, attributing the perceived changes to the lighting conditions at the party. She humorously remarked, “Oh my god guys, look how different I… don’t look at all. Turns out it was just a shadowy cell phone pic of me looking like a Ukrainian blow-up doll. When in REALITY, I look like one of those super expensive silicone real sex dolls you can only get in Japan.”
However, her choice of words ignited controversy, with online critics accusing her of making a distasteful comment about Ukraine, particularly in light of Russia’s actions. Some responses labeled the statement as inappropriate and urged Fox to consider the impact of her words.
One online user commented, “Distasteful comment about Ukraine,” while another criticized her post, saying, “Girl, you had one opportunity to write a good post about this iconic pic, and you write THIS?” A third critic pointed out, “I guess xenophobia towards Eastern European [women] is still a thing in Hollywood.”
